"Some 60 people received a Sept. 27 email from North Carolina State Rep. Larry Brown, where he jokingly congratulated House Speaker Joe Hackney on getting an award from the gay group Equality NC Foundation: "I hope all the queers are thrilled to see him. I am sure there will be a couple legislative fruitloops there in the audience." Brown, currently his in third term, runs unopposed for a fourth."
